Community Is Resilience
Learn numerous ways to get more involved in the Responsible Tech ecosystem with All Tech Is Human's activities
So, how are you feeling this week? We’re writing this from NYC (where All Tech Is Human is based), and we are currently sweltering through a major heat wave. Luckily for us, our specialty is tackling thorny tech & society issues, so we don’t mind sweating now and then. But yeah, we have the AC on.
🔭In today’s newsletter, you’ll learn about our upcoming livestream on July 1st on the rise of cybercrime, continued momentum for our large online safety gathering in London on July 16, and our AI Assurance Workshop on July 17. We are also knee-deep in planning for our Responsible Tech Summit, which will take place on October 27th in NYC and is focused on reasserting the role of our agency in crafting a human-centered future.
You’ll also read about our new resource for growing your career in Trust & Safety, along with a write-up about our recent DC gathering on The Future of Trust & Safety. And for those of you who will be attending TrustCon in SF in July, do say hello to Sandra Khalil and express your interest here about the mixer she is hosting.
Looking to cool off from the heat? Find some shade and dig into a book from our Responsible Tech Summer Reading List.

👏We’re thrilled to announce the panel at our upcoming AI Assurance workshop in London
Together with techUK and Trilligent, we are developing a workshop on July 17 in London to provide participants (and the larger community with post-workshop resources) with concrete steps to amplify assurance perspectives, craft compelling narratives, and develop the persistence needed to promote Responsible AI practices despite shifting focus and political challenges.
We are currently finalizing our participant list and sending out invitations for this curated group of 65 leaders in Responsible AI and AI Assurance. If you would like to be considered, please let us know here.
For our stage activities, we will be welcoming Dr. Amy Dickens (AI Assurance Lead, UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology), James Kell (Robotics Technical Director, Amentum), Rafah Knight (CEO & Founder, SecureAI), and Andrew Strait (Head of Societal Resilience, UK AI Security Institute). The panel will be moderated by All Tech Is Human’s Rebekah Tweed.
🎊We have an incredible mix of people attending our online safety-focused gathering at The Royal Society on July 16
We are getting ready to welcome 250 people who are gathering at The Royal Society to join us for two panel conversations and crucial multistakeholder networking.
Attendees are coming from 5Rights, Alan Turing Institute, Amazon, Bumble, Coimisiún na Meán, Google, LEGO Group, Meta, Mozilla Foundation, NetHope, NSPCC, Ofcom, Oversight Board, Oxford Internet Institute, PlayStation, Resolver, Supercell, The Future Society, TikTok, Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, Twillio, Twitch, UK Home Office, Wikimedia Foundation, WhatsApp, X, Yoti, and many more!

Join our discussion on July 1st on the rise of cybercrime and the fight to keep us safe
We promise the timing is coincidental, but we just experienced one of the biggest cybersecurity breaches, exposing 16 billion login credentials, as we have been getting ready for our upcoming discussion with Dr Laura S. Scherling, author of the timely upcoming book The Future of Hacking: The Rise of Cybercrime and the Fight to Keep Us Safe. She will be in conversation with All Tech Is Human’s Sandra Khalil, along with your questions submitted during the webinar.
A strong field of Trust & Safety = a better tech future
Here at All Tech Is Human, our activities focus on three key workstreams: community-building, education, and careers. And as an organization, we help lay down important relational infrastructure, develop a conducive environment for solution-making, and rapidly distribute learnings and best practices across our extensive network.
That’s why we just released a mini-guide on Building a Career in Trust & Safety, which provides a broad overview of the evolving field, key organizations to get involved with, leaders to learn from, and common careers in Trust & Safety. These mini-guides help illuminate pathways for the next generation of Trust & Safety professionals, along with providing much-needed support to those currently growing in the field.

“Where did this technology come from? Who did this technology come from? Because it didn’t fall from the sky. There are very specific ideologies imbued within it. It is also the product of certain money flows and power flows within our society.”
