All Tech Is Human’s Responsible Tech University Network
All Tech Is Human’s mission is to grow and diversify the entire Responsible Tech community. The University Network serves that mission by extending opportunities for learning, career growth, and community to affiliated student clubs at colleges and universities across the globe. We work to ensure that students from all backgrounds have the skills to take charge of their own tech futures – improving the technologies that deeply impact their lives and societies -- whether they work in policy, activism, development, or other tech spaces.
The Responsible Tech University Network is an intergenerational effort, making ATIH’s extensive community of professionals a valuable resource for student growth. The direction of all our programs is steered by students themselves, through the UNet Board of Directors. We empower students by bringing them in contact with a diverse cross-section of people in Responsible Tech, through things like our mentorship program that links students with early career professionals. And we arrange guest speakers on-campus and online to talk to the clubs about their own pathway into Responsible Tech.
The Responsible Tech University Network Board of Directors is a group of close to 50 student leaders from North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Together they set policies for the Network and decide on directions for programming, bringing their experience as students and growing professionals to the service of others around the globe.
Strategies for AI Transparency with Dr. Rumman Chowdhury
All Tech Is Human was honored to host Dr. Rumman Chowdhury (CEO & Co-Founder, Humane Intelligence) for a special livestream conversation about the Generative AI Red Teaming Challenge: Transparency Report with Rebekah Tweed (Executive Director, All Tech Is Human).
Dr. Chowdhury broke down the findings from the first public red teaming event for closed source API models, held by Humane Intelligence, Seed AI and AI Village at DEF CON 2023.
Interested in AI transparency? Humane Intelligence just launched the first of 10 algorithmic bias bounty programs, building themed programs that aim to build community and professionalize the practice of algorithmic assessment. The first challenge builds on the evaluation and dataset from our Generative AI Red Teaming Challenge: Transparency Report. Challenge participants can win from a pool of about $10,000 in prizes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced submissions.
The final task? Create a probability estimation model that determines whether the prompt provided to a language model will elicit an outcome that demonstrates factuality errors, bias, or misdirection. Learn more here
SAVE THE DATE: All Tech Is Human is teaming up with Humane Intelligence to host an in-person gathering on July 9th in NYC. Details to come.
