👋Join us for an in-person Responsible Tech Mixer in Manhattan on Wed, Nov 17th!

Here at All Tech Is Human, we like to bring people together. We also like to bust silos, unite multiple stakeholders, and promote a culture of knowledge-sharing & collaboration. We do this both with online gatherings and also in-person.

For those of you in or near NYC, please join us to a very casual gathering on Wed, Nov 17th from 5:30 to 7:30 that will happen in the Murray Hill area of Manhattan (near subway stops, and in between Grand Central & Union Square). Food will be provided, and YOU will be bringing the stimulating conversation. This will be a fun way to meet the broad range of passionate people dedicated to building a better tech future. Join us!!

🌍 And for those who can’t make Nov 17th, our online summit on Dec 1st is a must attend!

All Tech Is Human has a global community (60 countries at our summit in Sept), so we intentionally designed our upcoming Responsible Tech University Summit on December 1st to have a significant amount of space to connect with one another! Our summit—free & open to EVERYONE—uses the platform Hopin, and we have a feature where individuals can (if desired) be randomly paired for rapid-fire conversations with other attendees.

Everything we do at our organization (Responsible Tech Guide [PDF], Responsible Tech University Ambassadors program, Responsible Tech Job Board, Slack group [join here], summits, mixers, mentorship program) is geared toward developing and exposing pathways, connecting groups, and growing the community. The upcoming Responsible Tech University Summit will be focused on the career and education journeys of both students and practitioners, along with better understanding the role that universities play in growing the Responsible Tech pipeline. While we’ll be highlighted what we’re learning from our ambassadors, this gathering is ideal for anyone looking to learn more about the Responsible Tech ecosystem, hear the major topics of discussion, and connect with others. Oh, and you will get a dash of inspiration! That’s important, too.

Attend our summit on Dec 1st!

đŸŽ„All Tech Is Human’s mission is laid out in recent profile in Forbes + a talk about the Responsible Tech movement delivered in Poland.

All Tech Is Human’s founder & director, David Ryan Polgar, was able to recently speak in GdaƄsk, Poland about The Responsible Tech Revolution: How We Can Co-Create a Better Tech Future. David was also interviewed for a wonderful Forbes profile (“Imagine A Future Where Technology Is Developed With Humans In Mind”) that outlines the decade-in-the-making story of how All Tech Is Human came about, along with the underlying philosophy behind uniting a broad range of groups and disrupting the traditional tech pipeline. Check it out!

👍Thank you to the 50+ people who attended our kickoff HX Working Group meeting

Since announcing in our last newsletter that we are forming a working group to explore the concept of HX (Human Experience) and improving digital spaces, more than 100 (!!) of you from a wide variety of backgrounds (wellbeing, students, academics, designers, Trust & Safety) signed up. Thank you for the large and passionate group of people who attended our kickoff meeting on Monday. We’ll be working together on a shared doc, breakout groups, and upcoming gatherings. Join us!

All Tech Is Human is also part of HXProject.org, alongside some other wonderful organizations, which has been examining ways to improve our relationship with technology and better align digital spaces with ideal human experiences.

This working group will be putting together a report on the people, organizations, and ideas working to improve digital spaces and our relationship with technology that will be released in late January.

"It’s no question that the tech economy has exacerbated the affordability crisis in the Bay Area and beyond. But it’s not like most tech workers want to be a part of causing this issue. Many care but don’t know how to direct that care into action. That’s where we come in." -German Calderon, Community Manager
