🥳We’re thrilled to be launching our Responsible Tech Talent Pool for people who want to tackle thorny tech & society issues

Our non-profit is committed to co-creating a better tech future, one aligned with the public interest. We do this by having a more cohesive and expanded Responsible Tech ecosystem. We deeply believe by diversifying the traditional tech pipeline with more backgrounds, disciplines, and lived experiences we can massively improve the technology we develop and deploy (read about our theory of change + accomplishments here).

That’s why we are thrilled to launch our Responsible Tech Talent Pool! When it comes of diversifying the talent pipeline, we are strategically connected with the broad range of individuals looking to tackle wicked problems, universities educating the next generation, and the companies and organizations looking for these very individuals. By growing our mentorship program (new cohort this Fall), Responsible Tech Job Board, global Slack community (now over 3.5k), open working groups, reports (which have interviewed hundreds in the ecosystem), summits, and more, we find ourselves in a unique position where we can assist thousands of individuals wanting to grow their career in the nascent Responsible Tech field.

🎉We’re having a release party in NYC for our Responsible Tech Guide on Sept 13th

So it looks like you’re getting two celebration emojis in a row in this newsletter. Turns out we have a lot of celebrations happening here at All Tech Is Human! Our crown jewel is our Responsible Tech Guide, which maps the ecosystem and interviews dozens of interesting people to provide helpful guidance for a individuals looking to tackle thorny tech & society issues and get involved in the larger Responsible Tech movement and workforce. Read about our summer cohort that has been helping us craft the new and improved Responsible Tech Guide + sign up for our in-person NYC gathering.

We’re not only celebrating, but will also be having a conversation with two of the co-authors from System Error: Where Big Tech Went Wrong and How We Can Reboot. And for those of you outside of the NYC area, this conversation will be recorded and we’ll share the video in the coming newsletter. Our release party + conversation is part of a month-long forum of events challenging our relationship with technology called A Species Between Worlds.

We are thrilled to announce the all-star panel that will be taking part in Building a Better Tech Future for Children, a panel+mixer event that is uniting researchers, Trust & Safety professionals, youth advocates, entrepreneurs, mental health professionals and more to build community, share resources, and find areas of collaboration. We will also be taking learnings and resources from our recent Youth, Tech & Wellbeing event we had at the Australian Embassy in Washington, DC.

Guests for our gathering will hear a keynote presentation from Dr Elizabeth Milovidov, a panel conversation featuring Bre’Lynn Jade Lombard, Emma Leiken, Mina Aslan, and Dr. Michael Rich. 👋Fresh off our recent Tech & Democracy in-person mixer, we are holding one online for you

The future of tech is intertwined with the future of democracy and the human condition, so it behooves us to think critically and collaboratively around the future we’re creating. We recently had an incredible in-person mixer on Tech & Democracy with our friends at TheBridge and the Institute for Security and Technology (read about that here), so we wanted to bring this to our global community to get to know each other, share resources, and sparks areas of collaboration. Sign up for our online mixer!
