Upcoming livestream, major event in NYC, tech policy mixer in SF, and public interest technology career fair for students!
Plus a new Responsible Tech Talent Service, pictures from the DC mixer and panel, and our announcement about joining the Unfinished Network.
đWe need ALL BACKGROUNDS involved in building a better tech future. Join our April 13th livestream that will incorporate your experiences.
Here at All Tech Is Human, we are deeply focused on incorporating more disciplines and lived experiences into the process of developing and deploying technology. Technology is not just for technologists, but many ânon-traditionalâ individuals who are desperately needed in order to build a tech future that is aligned with the public interest do not find clear pathways into the ecosystem. Join us for a behind-the-scenes look with how David Ryan Polgar and Cate Gwin from All Tech Is Human have navigated their careers in the Responsible Tech field, and submit your own perspectives and experiencesâmany of which will make their way into the livestream conversation.
đIs your organization hiring Public Interest Technologists this spring, or are you a student looking to find a public interest technology role?
All Tech Is Human is pleased to be collaborating with Stanford University, Pepperdine University, & University of Washington on a FREE Spring 2022 Public Interest Technology Career Fair, supported by New Americaâs Public Interest Technology University Network!
Date: Thursday, May 12th from 2-5pm EDT / 11am-2pm PDT virtually on Handshake
Hiring managers and recruiters interested in connecting with undergrad and graduate students for 10-minute 1-on-1 sessions and 30-minute group sessions virtually on Handshake, as well as current undergrad and graduate students and recent alumni with a university Handshake account, please indicate your interest in participating by filling out the form below, and we will follow up with registration details.
Additional questions? Please reach out to Rebekah Tweed, Program Director at All Tech Is Huaman.
đWe are launching a new Responsible Tech Talent Service! Tap into our extensive network.
Our organization is regularly asked the question, âwho should we hire for this role?â Between our Responsible Tech Job Board, mentorship program, Slack group, livestreams, summits, working groups, and reports we have assembled a powerful and diverse network. So if your organization or company is looking for these individuals, why go to a general recruiting firm? We understand the ecosystem.
đOn May 20th in NYC, we are having a major gathering of stakeholders to create a blueprint for a better tech future.
Weâre thrilled to announce that on May 20th in NYC we will be holding an all-day event for policymakers, org leaders, researchers, advocates, and more around improving digital spaces. This 120-person gathering will be held at the Consulate General of Canada in New York, the event partner, and will also be freely livestreamed. We are currently lining up panels, fireside chats, and attendees for this important gathering that aims to showcase the important work already being done and find opportunities for collaboration and forward movement on improving digital spaces.
Do you know of ideal speakers? Organizations that should be in attendance. Let us know!

đWeâre excited to announce that we have joined the Unfinished Network!
Since the founding of our non-profit in 2018, we have been committed to growing the Responsible Tech ecosystem and uniting a broad range of stakeholders to co-create a better tech future. We are thrilled to announce that we have joined the Unfinished Network where partner orgs are âimagining the future of technology, governance, and culture to create a thriving multiracial democracy and just economy.â
We are excited to be alongside other leading organizations in the ecosystem, including New_Public, Center for Humane Technology, Tech & Society at Georgetown University, Ford Foundation, Internet Archive, and many more.
đ€ŻWe have over 300 people on our AI & Human Rights working group.
Thank you for the incredible response to our AI & Human Rights working group interest form that was featured in our last two newsletter. Our first check-in meeting is coming up this April 6th, and this working group will be releasing a report on the people, organizations, and ideas related to AI & Human Rights that will arrive in early June.
How do we operate so quickly, you ask? By tapping into the knowledge and generosity of such a high-collaborative community!
While the working group sign-up is now closed, please reach out to Cate Gwin if you would like to find other ways to contribute to this project. Do you have suggestions for profile interviews, organizations to list, and resources to feature? Let us know in the form below!
đThank you to everyone who attended our recent online Responsible Tech Mixer!
đWeâve heard from a lot of the community desiring a gathering in San FranciscoâŠ
So, thatâs what weâre making happen! Be on the lookout for our next newsletter when weâll be announcing a late April tech policy mixer alongside a global tech policy organizationâŠinterested in learning more or getting involved? Drop us a line to find out more. As an added bonus, attendees will get to meet Dr. Karina Alexanyan, our Director of Strategy who is based in the Bay Area!
